On March 18 and 19, the Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid will host the first edition of UPM Investiga, a unique and interactive research exhibition unlike anything Madrid has ever seen. The event will take place at the Design Center at Matadero Madrid <\/h4>\n\n

Under the slogan \u201cCome and discover the technology of the future,\u201d UPM Investiga serves as a showcase where UPM displays the full extent of its scientific and technological capabilities, demonstrating how, through their work, UPM professors, students, and researchers are shaping the future of humanity. To this end, it will bring research closer to society in a practical and interactive way, highlighting the real impact of the projects developed at this university. <\/p>\n\n

Discovering the Technology of the Future The exhibition will feature sections dedicated to seven major fields of knowledge that reflect the UPM\u2019s main areas of research: Architecture and Society; Bioeconomy and the Environment; Energy and Transportation; Space and Security; Artificial Intelligence and Digitalization; Industry of the Future; Health and Well-being. <\/p>\n\n

CEIGRAM will be participating in the Bioeconomy and Environment section, where we will showcase some of our most innovative projects, ranging from water management for agriculture to predicting vineyard yields and reducing ammonia emissions. We will also be bringing a vertical farming module for horticultural production using pulsed light. We invite you to learn more about our work and that of the rest of the UPM Community. <\/p>\n\n

Over two days, March 18 and 19, at the Matadero Madrid Design Center, visitors can see hands-on demonstrations of digital haute couture, a laser show, AI applications for drones and race cars, and the next satellite that UPM will launch into space (UPM Sat-4). <\/p>\n\n

In addition, the program includes roundtable discussions, a 3-minute doctoral thesis pitch contest, and four lightning talks by UPM researchers, Alejandro Data<\/strong>s, co-founder of Thermophoton; Efr\u00e9n Fern\u00e1nde<\/strong>z, recipient of an ERC Consolidator Grant; Rub\u00e9n P\u00e9rez-Ma\u00f1anes<\/strong>, a surgical oncologist at Gregorio Mara\u00f1\u00f3n University General Hospital; and Natalia Latorre<\/strong>, an industrial engineer from the UPM and general director of Energy Transition at Enag\u00e1s. <\/p>\n\n
