Nitrogen fertiliser uptake, nitrous oxide emissions and carbon balance of different N management systems in Australian dryland cropping. Research Seminar by Arjun Pandey <\/em><\/h2>\n\n

The The Research Centre for the Management of Agricultural and Environmental Risks<\/a> (CEIGRAM) is organizing a seminar on nitrogen management systems in Australian Dryland cropping. In this seminar, titled \u201cNitrogen Fertilizer Uptake, Nitrous Oxide, and Carbon Balance of Different Nitrogen Management Systems in Australian Dryland Cropping,\u201d presented by Dr. Arjun Pandey, both students and researchers will have the opportunity to learn about and discuss how to address biogeochemical flows. <\/p>\n\n

The seminar will take place on Tuesday, June 2, at 1:00 p.m.<\/strong> in the CEIGRAM conference room<\/strong> and will also be streamed via Zoom <\/strong>for those who are unable to attend in person. It will be conducted in English<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n

Dr. Arjun Pandey<\/strong> is a professor of crop nutrition and soil science at the University of Melbourne. His research focuses on the soil nitrogen cycle and greenhouse gas monitoring in agricultural systems. He has held various research positions at universities and companies around the world\u2014including Denmark, the United States, and Australia\u2014focusing on soil nitrogen management for sustainable crop intensification. Dr. Arjun has conducted research on fertilizer nitrogen management across a wide range of cropping systems, including cereals, legumes, intensive vegetable production, and dairy pastures. He is currently involved in several “Grain Research and Development Corporation”-funded research projects aimed at closing dryland grain yield gaps. <\/p>\n\n
