Impacts of temperature on various aspects of olive tree physiology and production<\/strong>. Research Seminar led by Mar\u00eda Cecilia Rousseaux<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n

The seminar will take place on Friday 12 June at 12.30 pm<\/strong> in the CEIGRAM Conference Room. It will be held in a hybrid format to enable those who are unable to attend in person to take part. <\/em><\/h3>\n\n

Temperature is a crucial environmental factor in olive production, particularly in the current context of global warming. In this seminar, we will review studies on the role of temperature in phenology, vegetative growth, oil production and oil quality<\/strong>, using altitude and latitude gradients alongside temperature-manipulated experiments.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

Mar\u00eda Cecilia Rousseaux<\/strong> is an Agricultural Engineer and holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She completed postdoctoral research at the University of California, Davis. Since 2003, she has been working at CRILAR, a research centre of the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina <\/strong>(CONICET) located in Anillaco, La Rioja. She is a Principal Researcher at CONICET and a Lecturer in Plant Physiology at the National University of La Rioja.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n

He has published more than 50 articles in indexed journals and several book chapters. He has supervised 7 PhD theses and 12 master\u2019s theses, thereby contributing to the development of human resources in one of Argentina\u2019s least developed provinces. <\/p>\n\n
