His research has focused on the physiological study of fruit trees, with special emphasis on olive and pistachio trees and their water relations. In this sense, he has worked on the optimization of Controlled Deficit Irrigation (CDI) and the use of biosensors for irrigation scheduling. Strategies that seek the sustainability of the system and the improvement of production quality. With the aim of optimizing CDR, studies of fruit morphological development in both olive and pistachio trees have been carried out.
