PhD Agricultural Engineer from UPM, specializing in soil management in viticulture. After completing his studies, he worked in the private sector managing and advising various agricultural companies. He served as a university professor for over 10 years at UCAV, where, in addition to teaching numerous subjects (irrigation, arable crops/herbaceous crops, agricultural machinery, rural development, etc.) he participated in various projects related to sustainable management of agricultural environments.

He has published multiple articles in high impact journals and conference, primarily related to irrigation management, soil management, and crop fertilization.

Currently, he is a professor of Arable Crops and Production of Plant-based Raw Materials at ETSIAAB of UPM, combining his teaching duties with research. As a researcher he is involved in a project studying the biofumigant affects of various species of Brassicas. Additionally, he has recently begun a project focused on the heritable epigenetic effects of water stress in cereals.
