The Sustainable Plant Production and Protection Systems Research Group is made up of 14 researchers and consists of three lines of research. The multidisciplinary nature of the researchers, which ranges from plant physiology, phytotechnics or microbiology, allows this Group to approach studies from different points of view.
Among the facilities related to the Group is the CATES (Accredited Center for Seed Analysis and Technology, dedicated to the analysis and improvement of seed quality, and the Plant Protection Laboratory, which belongs to the Laboratory Network of the Madri+ system. d, where researchers work on the detection, diagnosis and epidemiological study of phytopathogenic fungi and bacteria.
Lines of work
- Etiology of diseases, epidemiology and control of plant pathogens.
- Technology in seed production.
- Management of water and nutrient resources in agricultural systems.
