Doctor of Agricultural Engineering (UPM). Assistant Professor of Plant Science-Production and Crop Ecophysiology and collaborating professor in the Master’s Degree in Viticulture and Oenology: Vinifera (Montpellier SupAgro) and Viteno (UPM) and in various courses (ULE, UCM and UFM). Previously, Manager of the Wine Technology Platform, a national entity that promotes innovation projects (R&D&I) in the wine sector.
He is currently a member of the Spanish Delegation to the OIV as an expert in viticulture (serving as national delegate for protection and viticultural techniques, sustainability and CC) and also holds the institutional position of president of the Viticulture Commission of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV). He is a member of the Scientific and Technical Committee (CST) of the French Institute of Vine and Wine (IFV) and CERVIM, and scientific and technical editor-contributor to the International Viticulture and Enology Society (IVES). He is an international judge for several wine competitions and a member of advisory boards and committees for European and international projects in the wine sector.
