His research has focused on the study of micronutrients (Zn and Cu) in soils and crops, using incubation, greenhouse, and field experiments. He has conducted studies on mobility (leaching) and distribution of these micronutrients, both in different soil fractions and in their distribution and translocation within plant tissues.
Currently, his research explores the effects of ZnO nanoparticles on soils and crops under realistic conditions (greenhouse and field). Future work aims to expand the study towards interactions with other nutrients and/or contaminants in agricultural systems.
