Guardia Vázquez, Guillermo

Associate Professor

Agricultural Engineer (graduated in 2012) with a Master’s degree in Agro-Environmental Technology for Sustainable Agriculture (TAPAS) from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM). PhD from the TAPAS programme, with a thesis defended in 2017, awarded Summa Cum Laude, European Mention, and UPM Extraordinary Doctoral Award.
Postdoctoral Researcher (2017–2019), Assistant Professor (2019–2022), and Tenured Lecturer (2023–present) at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM).

– Key Achievements:
– Best Academic Record Award (151st Agronomic Engineering Promotion, UPM).
– By late 2024: 29 JCR-indexed articles, h-index: 18, i10-index: 19, and over 2,000 citations (Google Scholar).
– Participation in six competitive research projects (one as Principal Investigator) and eight non-competitive projects (two as co-PI).
– Publons Peer Review Award (2018).

– Editorial Board Member of GEODERMA.
– “Espiga de Oro” Teaching Award, granted by the UPM ETSIAAB Student Delegation: First prize (2024), Second prize (2020), and Third prize (2021).
