Sotés, Vicente

Emeritus Professor

Dr. Agronomist Engineer from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (1974). Professor Emeritus since 2018. Professor of Viticulture in the Master of Viticulture and Enology (Viteno) at the UPM since 1974.

He has directed more than 50 viticulture research projects in national, European and Ibero-American cooperation programs.

Academic publications in 170 articles and book chapters. Translation of 15 books on viticulture and fruit crops.

Direction of 17 doctoral theses. Since 1991 member of the Official Spanish Delegation to the OIV. Chairman of the Winegrowing Environment and Climate Change Group (2007-2012). Chairman of the Viticulture Commission (2012-2015). Vice President of the OIV (2016- 2019).
