Geovisualization, Unique Spaces and Heritage

The group has equipment for the acquisition and processing of data and information recorded through aerial sensors (drones and satellites), terrestrial sensors (TLS scanner), GNSS receivers and LIDAR systems. We have collaborated with other national and international research institutions as well as with public organizations and private companies, both national and foreign. Some projects developed:

  • Network for research into the cultural landscapes of Spain. “Networks of Excellence” revitalization actions. State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2017.
  • Study of geological-geotechnical risks due to exploitation of aquifers using space and terrestrial techniques. (AQUARISK). ESP2013-47780-C2-1,2-R. (2014/2016) and (2016/2018). In collaboration with the IGEO/CSIC.
  • Collaboration between interdisciplinary R&D&i structures. Own R&D Program of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, 2017.
  • Comprehensive methodology to improve the appreciation of sensitive factors in cultural landscapes (SENSE-SCAPES) (2017/2018). In collaboration with the GIPC of the ETSAM.
  • Sustainable precision irrigation of woody crops in different scenarios of water deficit and salinity. Subproject: Precision irrigation in olive groves and vineyards. Evaluation of sensors in soil-plant atmosphere and multispectral images in deficit irrigation strategies. Ministry 2017-2019.
