Full Professor of Economy and Agricultural Policy at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). She is currently the Director of the Centre of Research and Studies for Agricultural and Environmental Risk Management (CEIGRAM). She also leads the Agricultural Economics and Natural Resource Management Research Group.

She has over 30 years of research experience. Her work focuses primarily on the analysis of agricultural policy, rural development and risk management. She has published more than 50 research works, including articles and book chapters, many indexed in the JCR- She has participated as a researcher and/or principal investigator in over 20 national and international competitive projects and has contributed to over 30 significant contracts with public institutions.
