Agronomist Engineer with a Master’s in Policies and Public Choice in the Agri-Food Sector in CIHEAM (France, 2006) and a Master’s in Economics and Management of Agricultural and Rural Management from the University of Montpellier (France, 2007). She obtained her PHD in Agricultural Economics and Natural Resources from UPM in 2010. During her doctoral studies, she spent a year at the University of California, Davis (USA).
Her research focuses on the intersection of agricultural economics and the environment, with a special emphasis on the economy and water policy. She has participated in numerous Spanish and European research projects with case studies in Europe, the Mediterranean region, and Latin America. She is a member of the management committee for the COST action ‘Drylands for Change‘. She is an associate editor of JCR journals (Irrigation Science and Spanish Journal of Agriucltural Research) and an expert evaluator of research and innovation activities of the European Union Framework Program for Research and Innovation, Austria Science Foundation, National Science Centre of Poland, and the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
