Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Statistics and Business Management at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

She has advised and managed projects for the World Bank, the European Commission, the European Parliament and several governments in Europe and Latin America.

Her areas of expertise focus on agricultural policy and environmental economics, with special attention to water management, risk analysis, indexed agricultural insurance and, recently, she has focused her work on bioenergy studies and sustainable rural development.

She is a researcher at the Research Center for Agricultural and Environmental Risk Management (CEIGRAM) and the Center for Innovation and Technology for Human Development (CITDH-UPM). From 2012 to 2015 she was Deputy Director of Quality Affairs and Academic Organization at the School of Agricultural, Food and Biosystems Engineering. She is currently Vice President of the Spanish Association of Agricultural Economics.
