CSIC (Spanish National Research Council) researcher since 1986, European official in the Directorate General for Agriculture (1986-2015), member of the two Buckwell groups, member of the French Academy of Agriculture and the Academia dei Georgogilli, Spanish agricultural merit, and Official of the French agricultural merit. Cajamar ADN-Agro. Member of the Scientific Council of the Advanced Mediterranean Agronomic Studies (CIHEAM) and the Agrobiosciences Mission of the French INRA (National Institute of Agricultural Research). He is currently the Vice-Director of the Institute of Economics, Geography, and Demography.
